Preschool Round-up

Preschool Round-up
The East Chicago Public Library is happy to announce a Preschool Round-Up.  The Preschool Round-up will be at the Robert A. Pastrick Branch on Tuesday, April 11 from 6 pm – 7:30 pm.  The Pastrick Branch is located at 1008 W. Chicago Avenue, East Chicago, Indiana.  The second Preschool Round-Up will take place at the Main Library located at 2401 E. Columbus Drive, East Chicago, Indiana on Thursday, April 27 from 6 pm – 7:30 pm.
The purpose of the Preschool Round-Up is an opportunity for parents to meet preschool teachers from the local area preschools and to learn about their programs.  While the parents are busy with the preschool teachers, the preschoolers are invited to participate in a Story time complete with stories, crafts, and other activities.
Parents will also have an opportunity to learn about the importance of reading aloud to their children.  Preschoolers and their parents will be invited to join a special reading program entitled “1,000 Books to Read Before Kindergarten.”
Light refreshments will be offered.  Any questions or concerns, please contact Pam Bartusiewicz, Acting Associate Director of Youth Services at 219.397.5505 x 12 or 219.397.2453 x 25.
