“It’s A Mystery” Book Club

East Chicago Public Library invites you to join “It’s A Mystery” Book Club
(EAST CHICAGO) - The East Chicago is excited and thrilled to offer new book club program to adults. Do you love mystery books? Would you like to meet with other book lovers who share the same love for a good mystery? If so, the East Chicago Public Library, Pastrick Branch, is starting a monthly book club for adult readers who enjoy plot twists, crimes, and suspense with other mystery lovers.
The book club will meet every 3
rd Monday of every month. The first meeting of the “It’s a Mystery” Book Club will be held on Monday, May 21 at 6:00 pm, at the Patrick Branch, 1008 W. Chicago Ave.
The book club is free and open to the public. Area residents are invited to join in this initial meeting of the “It’s a Mystery” Book Club and help to get the new club to a great start!

Drone presentation by East Chicago Native Miguel Cisneros

(EAST CHICAGO – May 4, 2018) – We are excited to welcome East Chicago Native, Miguel Cisneros for a drone presentation on Tuesday, May 15 from 5:00-7:00 pm, at East Chicago Public Library, located at 2401 E. Columbus Drive.
The presentation will offer a brief overview of basic drone operation. Miguel has acquired much success in the field of cinematography over the past few years. He has also traveled the world and worked with several celebrities and superstars. Attend the free event to learn more about his career in videography and as a drone pilot. He will also give a live presentation with his personal drone.
Participants may also enter for a chance to win a drone. To win a drone, you must have a library card in good standing. If you do not have a library card you may register for one at the circulation desk. The winner will be announced at the end of the program. Winner must be present. Refreshments will be provided.
